This policy explains what personal data Casa dos Amigos collects when you visit casadosamigos.net, why, and the rights you have over it.
Who is responsible

What we collect
Two things. First, information you send us voluntarily: when you contact us by WhatsApp, email or the availability form, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, dates and message. The availability form stores nothing on our servers — it opens WhatsApp with your message, so that data is handled by WhatsApp. Second, anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics, but only if you accept cookies.
Analytics
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (for example _ga) to measure page views, device type and approximate location. We use it only to understand aggregate traffic — never to identify you personally. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We rely on a few processors to run the site:
- Google Ireland / Google LLC — analytics, only after consent (data may be processed in the USA under standard contractual clauses).
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) — if you choose to message us there.
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting; processes technical server logs, including IP addresses.
- Sanity.io — content management for the site's text and images.
Cookies we use
Before you choose, only one strictly necessary item runs: cda_cookie_consent, stored in your browser to remember your decision (no analytics, never shared). If you accept, Google Analytics adds its _ga cookies, which expire after about 13 months. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct or delete it
- Restrict or object to its processing
- Receive it in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time

How long we keep it
Messages and booking enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer you and meet legal obligations. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (up to 14 months).
